Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Expense Tracker, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. We may update these terms at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. The service

Expense Tracker provides a personal expense logging and analytics platform, including a companion iPhone Shortcut. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@expensetracker.app if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

4. Subscription and billing

Access to core features requires an active paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.

Cancellation: You may cancel at any time from your Profile page or via the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until that date.

Refunds: We do not offer refunds for partial months. If you experience a billing error, contact us within 14 days and we will investigate and refund where appropriate.

Price changes: We will give at least 30 days' notice before changing the subscription price. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data.
• Abuse the API or send automated requests at a rate that degrades service for others.
• Resell or sublicence access to the service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Intellectual property

All content, design, and code of Expense Tracker is owned by us or our licensors. Your expense data belongs to you. We claim no ownership over the data you enter.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. You use the service at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Sweden.
